Teachers are the heart and soul of any educational environment.  Ms Patty and Ms Anna are the center of our co-op and our children are a product of their passion for preschool education. They always put our children first. Each year, Ms Patty and Ms Anna continue their education by attending early childhood education conferences and keeping abreast of the latest research and teaching techniques. One visit to Lakeside and you will see how our teachers make a difference in the growth and development of our preschoolers.

Patty Haveman
I am excited to be a part of the Lakeside Coop Preschool community teaching the 3-Day Multi-Age Preschool class and 4-Day Pre-K class.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies from Washington State University and have taught in a number of early childhood education settings for many years.  The most recent, at Isom Elementary in the Lynden School District working specifically with kindergarten students.  In my classroom, you will find an intentional play based model focusing on the developmental skills necessary for a successful start to kindergarten.  I strive to create a safe, child centered program which is always busy, focused and fun.  My husband and I have two adult children and live in Lynden.  When not in the classroom, I enjoy running and spending time with my youngest “child”, our adorable and enthusiastic dog Lexie!
